About Sue Cramer

Sue Cramer is the founder of Praise and Coffee, a national ministry that meets in coffee shops and around kitchen tables, connecting women to encourage each other and inspiring them to draw closer to God. She’s a wife, mom, speaker, writer, and coffee drinker who loves the Lord.  Sue is also featured on a weekly radio segment on Star 105.7 sharing advice and encouragement to moms of all ages and stages, and just published her first devotional style ebook on Amazon: Praise and Coffee to Go

Sue lives in West Michigan and shares her life with her husband Mark. They’ve been married over 27 years and have four children (three biological and one adopted from China), two daughters-in-law and one perfect grand daughter!

In ministry for over 28 years, Sue has done everything from planting churches as a Pastor’s wife, directing women’s ministry, to writing Bible studies and serving on the board of a Community Center. She is passionate about helping women find their place in the Father’s love and enjoys speaking to women’s groups of all sizes.

Sue also owns Mezzo Coffee House  and Marketplace at Mezzo in Otsego, MI.

What others are saying about Sue:

“It was such a pleasure to have Sue speak to our small MOPS group.  Her calming and friendly personality set our group at ease immediately, and we found it effortless to connect with and relate to her.  During her presentation, she was like a member of our group, very approachable and down to earth, real and honest in a way many speakers do not become with unfamiliar people.  She was very flexible and adjusted to our group’s needs, open to following the lead of questions asked by group members and even taking extra time to personally address questions outside of the topic of her presentation and offering one-on-one conversation.  God surely used her words and presence in a way we had not anticipated and we were so blessed by those moments.  I wholeheartedly believe God has used Sue to touch lives in our group beyond her words, which are lasting and filled with thought and consideration, and that the opportunity has left us all better women.”

By Kristy (MOPS leader at CrossWind Community Church, in Dorr, MI.)

“Wow, what to say after such an incredible weekend?  If you could see all the posts I am seeing on FB, you would know what an impact you had on our women.  God knows what He is doing when he sets the stage for a retreat such as ours.  The venue, beautiful weather, even time with friends would not be enough if our guest speaker did not speak  to the hearts of the women.  Women are so intuitive and they know who is being transparent and who needs approval and attention.  Thank you for sharing your heart with us (who ever would have thought that your adoption story would meet women on so many levels?). BTW – one of the girls (who is not a believer, yet!) said she had spoken with you personally.  I know God is working in her heart.

This will not be the last time we meet, Sue.  May God continue to bless “Praise and Coffee” as well as your sweet family.”

By: Shari Hulcy of Woodside Bible Church after weekend retreat in Bay Harbor, MI.

“Sue Cramer spoke to our MOPS group of about 40 women on the subject of Comparison.  She challenged us not to compare ourselves to to other moms who we think have ‘it all together’ or are more creative, better moms, or more talented.  She reminded us of who we are in Christ and how he looks at us.  As a speaker she was personable, articulate, enthusiastic, and humorous. Sue also showed authenticity in her speaking by sharing stories from her own mothering experiences.  All our DGL’s (Discussion group leaders) related that the discussions in their group after Sue’s talk were excellent.  Moms were moved to share feelings and experiences honestly and therapeutically.  I would recommend her to any group of moms.”

By Janet Piersma (head mentor mom from Corinth MOPS of Byron Center)

“Sue Cramer spoke at our Women’s Retreat in November.  We are pleased to offer this letter of recommendation to anyone considering having Sue as a speaker.

We received very positive feedback from the attendees regarding Sue’s warm, relatable personality and the messages she presented at the four sessions we had.  Sue’s message was entitled “God’s Kind of Woman — Broken, Exposed, Healed” and contained many biblical and personal examples.  Sue spent lots of time with the attendees, speaking personally with many of them and praying for them.  She was also very willing to join in on all of the activities we provided.

As a committee, we found Sue to be very flexible and willing to collaborate on the overall message of the retreat.  We were very pleased with Sue’s participation in Chapel Pointe’s women’s retreat, and would recommend her for any future speaking engagements.”

Fees:

After thinking about this for quite a while, I have come to the conclusion that I will not have a set fee for speaking, I will leave it up to you. I was told this would devalue my speaking, I suppose you will have to decide that for yourself. I have spoken to many small groups of women that didn’t have the money for a “big” speaker but were visibly touched by the message God laid on my heart for them, and I can’t imagine having told them that I can’t come because they couldn’t pay me more. I do not make a living from speaking, so my situation is different than many other speakers.
That being said, I am not taking many speaking events right now, I am choosing the ones that I feel I would be a benefit to and the ones that work well for mine and my family’s schedule.
Feel free to fill out the form if you are interested in having me speak to your group.
