Do you wish your husband would love you more?

I believe that the book, “Love and Respect” by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs, is one of the best books on marriage available. I have watched it take marriages from the road to divorce to complete healing and restoration.

The foundation of their message is the “crazy cycle”.

Here is a short clip on the subject of love and respect, it helps us understand the different needs that a husbands and wife have. Please watch it and read the links!!

The Crazy Cycle

After watching that short clip, check out these two stories.

Two stories I hear over and over.

They will make you laugh and touch your heart!!

I’m praying for our marriages!

Yup, sounds about right 🙂 This was great, thanks for sharing it. I'm praying for marriages as well. They need to be strengthened.

  2. I love that book! And I will always remember the crazy cycle! I see marriages attached all over the place. The spiritual battle is strong. I'm praying too.

I have not read the book you mentioned, but really think it looks very helpful – just from the little bit you showed. That "crazy cycle" really is a perfect picture of the way things work!I read a book that truly made our marriage better because it gave my husband a more pleasant, thankful, respectful wife! I didn't tell my husband I was reading it, but within FIVE days he commented on the difference in me.:) The book is called "Created to be His Help Meet" by Debi Pearl. See her website for testimonies: <a href="http://www.createdtobehishelpmeet.orgwww.createdtobehishelpmeet.org<br />many blessings!

Great question. No, I don't wish he loved me more. I wish he loved the Heavenly Father more.

  5. Great post! One of my favorite books. This is an area that I am so convicted in right now! Trying harder and learning more about how to show my dear husband a little more respect instead of getting caught up in my own agenda!!Thanks for the reminder this morning!!

  6. Oh Sue, I used to pray that my husband would love me more. And now he really does and he tells me so. I read this book a few years ago and I have to say it's so true. Men want to be respected. I hear so many women putting their husbands down. I started to look for things I could respect about my husband and then I told him. I didn't want to be phony because that's just not me and Greg would see through that in a heartbeat. But it's funny because when you focus on something positive about your husband, you can find things. It may start off with something small but as you tell him, it's amazing how they tend to step up to the plate.

  8. Sue as always… right when I need to hear it the most! Thank you. I actually have the book, and the DVD. Just not the workbook. We have wanted to go through. Our church started a home fellowship based on the book but are unable to attend due to my husband's work schedule. Why not start it at home ourselves?? Simple life has always taken the excuse. With God's help I aim to change that! Thank you for sharing!!
